I am Jenn. This is my space to rant, expunge and expel words that, without serious censorship, could harbour the potential to cause friends and family undue anger, angst or the desire to get me professional help. And, so, they don’t know about this little blog. No, Quarter Rest is not all tirades against people I know, but sometimes the occasional bitch session may crop up. More often, I’m inclined to vent about things in general and, lest they be taken at face value as my view on life in general (because, yes, it’s happened), those kinds of thoughts are better placed here.
Quarter Rest had a previous life on Blogger (all posts and comments imported) and there was an earlier incarnation called a thought gone further off track… (it has also made the move).
I have a daughter and a husband. I am an amateur photographer of the most amateur sort, I occasionally make an effort to write better poetry and I have been known to break out into song without checking to see if I’m alone. I live on the west coast of Canada. I’m left handed and right-eyed. I am much happier when caffeinated daily and doing yoga at least once a week. Only the former happens as planned. I am easily distracted by new endeavours. I love post-it notes and I am terrified of hate moths. All these things and more are likely to be written about here.
I’m around the web – flickr, goodreads, google +, twitter and another blog. The links are in the rest of me in my Recommended Reads. There are also some amazing bloggers on that same page.
I look forward to seeing you around.
